Manhattan Movement and Arts Center Kids (MMAC Kids)—a comprehensive dance education program on the Upper West Side of Manhattan—is committed to sharing the love of dance with every child who participates in its classes. Under the guidance of its energetic and experienced teaching staff, MMAC Kids is equipped to see students through every stage of their dance journeys from their initial entry into the studio through placement on its competitive dance team or its partner program, Manhattan Youth Ballet. MMAC Kids is housed within Manhattan Movement and Arts Center, a state of the art performance and rehearsal facility.
At MMAC, we create a warm and welcoming environment in which your child's individual development and personal growth are our main focus. Whether your child is exploring something new or building on a favorite activity or interest, our classes and teachers offer instruction, inspiration, opportunities for social development and, most of all, fun. We invite your family to become a part of the MMAC community.
The MMAC Kids Competitive Dance Program was established to provide a fun, challenging and positive environment as well as unique performance and learning opportunities for especially dedicated, serious and talented students to further their dance technique and training. Students will continually work on improving their performance quality and developing their technique, precision and form to their fullest potential. Dancers will learn to work together as a team to achieve goals, and grow their self-esteem, confidence, sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for dance.
